The DAXS contribution

One contact between business requirements, contracts and technology.

01 · Requirement

What needs to work?

Sites, users, numbers, availability, contract terms and operational dependencies are clarified first.

02 · Product

What actually fits?

Availability, plans, service options and product building blocks are selected for the project. Commercial terms are never promised in general.

03 · Operation

How is it integrated?

Firewalls, networks, devices, phone systems, documentation and responsibilities are turned into an operable environment.

As a Magenta Business Partner, DAXS can in principle offer the broad business portfolio. The actual products and configurations available and appropriate are checked for each company.

More than a connection

Technology follows the way the business actually works.

A business connection is not simply about more speed. Depending on the site, fixed IP addresses, defined service options, resilience, site networking or a planned mobile failover may matter.

The roles remain clear: Magenta provides suitable telecommunications and platform products. DAXS places them within the existing IT environment, plans the handovers and supports operational changes.

Business internet & resilience

A backup link is only as good as its switchover.

If the primary site connection fails, a properly planned mobile connection can keep essential operations online. Reception, routers, firewalls, IP requirements, data volume and the applications that truly matter all need to fit.

  • assess primary and alternative transmission paths
  • integrate technical switchover
  • prioritise cloud, telephony and critical services
  • test failure and return to normal operation

Corporate mobile

More than a new phone plan.

For larger mobile estates, device cycles, staff changes, international use, central administration and support matter alongside price and data volume. Device credits or budgets depend on the individual agreement and are not promised as standard.

Telephony without a forced replacement

Assess what exists. Choose the target carefully.

An existing phone system does not automatically need to be replaced. Its condition, interfaces, devices, numbers, required functions and preferred operating model determine the next step.

Existing system

Assess SIP capability, gateways, numbers and continued operation.

Phased migration

Plan parallel operation, porting date and continuous reachability.

Cloud telephony

Use it only when functions, internet dependency, devices and administration fit.

Service numbers

Assess freephone and other business numbers according to current product availability.

Housing & hybrid

Operate servers away from the company site.

Magenta describes server housing in Austrian data centres with redundant power, cooling and fibre connectivity. Current rack sizes, connectivity and service options are confirmed for each project.

DAXS supports selection, hardware, migration, cabling, backup connectivity and operation. Local systems, data-centre infrastructure and cloud services can be combined deliberately.

A traceable development

Experience with connectivity and infrastructure from the early years.

DAXS has worked with IT infrastructure, networks, hosting and business communications since 2000. The partnership with Inode began in 2001.

Inode was acquired by UPC Austria in 2006. T-Mobile Austria acquired UPC Austria in 2018; the services have been brought together under Magenta since 2019. This corporate history explains the path to today's cooperation with Magenta Telekom, but it is not a claim that one unchanged partner agreement existed throughout.

Frequently asked questions

Magenta Business in practical terms.

Can DAXS offer the full Magenta Business portfolio?

As a Magenta Business Partner, DAXS can in principle offer the broad business portfolio. Available products, terms and configurations depend on the cooperation framework, the site and the customer's actual requirements.

What makes business internet different from a consumer connection?

It is not only about speed. Fixed IP addresses, different service options, business support, site networking or additional features may matter depending on the product. DAXS establishes which characteristics the operation actually needs.

Can we get a fixed IP address?

That depends on the selected product. Current business-internet options include fixed-IP variants. DAXS clarifies the number of addresses and technical handover requirements before ordering.

Can mobile connectivity act as a backup?

Yes. Reception, routers, automatic switchover, IP requirements, data volume and operational load need to fit. DAXS plans the integration with the existing firewall and network and tests the failure scenario.

Can several sites be connected?

Yes. Site links, VPNs or software-defined options may be appropriate. Local networks, firewalls, resilience and central administration are considered as part of the same design.

Does DAXS support fibre projects?

Yes. Availability, handover location, build lead time, internal cabling, active components and commissioning should be planned early.

Our new site does not exist yet. When should we plan connectivity?

As early as possible. New builds, refurbishments, construction offices and site openings should address routes, access technologies, lead times, resilience, telephony and networking well before move-in.

We currently use another business provider. Can DAXS still help?

Yes. DAXS first reviews performance, cost, contract term, notice periods, technical dependencies and necessary parallel operation. A change is planned only when it offers a sensible technical or commercial improvement. Magenta is not automatically better or cheaper in every case.

What happens to our existing phone system?

It is assessed first. If continued operation, SIP connectivity or a gateway is sensible, replacement is not automatic. Functions, maintainability and the target design determine the next step.

Can existing phone numbers be ported?

Depending on the starting point and product, numbers can be ported. DAXS coordinates the inventory, porting date, phone system, devices and continuous reachability.

Does DAXS support SIP?

Yes. DAXS assesses existing SIP-capable systems, necessary handovers, firewall rules, number plans and failure scenarios.

What is cloud telephony?

The core telephony function is delivered as a service and can connect desk phones, apps and other workplaces. It is an option, not a requirement. Internet dependency, functions and administration need to suit the business.

Can service numbers be configured?

Freephone and other business numbers can be assessed according to current product availability. DAXS clarifies reachability, routing and technical integration.

Does DAXS support larger mobile estates?

Yes. Estates of 10, 50 or 100 and more connections can be structured. Plan groups, data needs, users, devices, terms and support are considered together.

Can smartphones and plans be designed together?

Yes. Device choice, plans, user assignment, replacement cycles, security and support belong together. Contract-specific device budgets or credits are checked for the actual agreement.

What is mobile device management?

It provides central device administration, policy deployment and stronger control over business data. The appropriate scope depends on devices, applications and security requirements.

What does Device as a Service mean?

Devices are supplied as an ongoing model with defined services. Cost, term, replacement and support scope are compared with a conventional purchase.

Are IoT plans available?

Magenta offers IoT connectivity with different network technologies, SIM variants, plans and platform building blocks. DAXS can support data flow, applications, security and integration with existing systems.

Can servers be housed in a data centre?

Yes. Magenta publicly offers server housing in Austrian data centres. DAXS supports selection, hardware, migration, connectivity and ongoing operation.

Can we use only part of a rack?

Current sizes and partial-rack options must be confirmed for the project. DAXS establishes space, power, cooling, network and growth requirements before selecting a size.

Can a data centre be used as an external backup site?

Yes, provided that transmission, capacity, encryption, retention and restoration are designed together. An external location does not replace recovery testing.

Can local servers and a data centre be combined?

Yes. Local infrastructure, housing, private cloud, public cloud and SaaS can form a hybrid architecture. The task determines the design, not a cloud-first or on-premises-first policy.

What happens to existing contract commitments?

Contract terms, notice periods and possible parallel-running periods are recorded before any change. A technically sound migration also needs a sound timeline and commercial plan.

Who coordinates the provider and internal IT?

DAXS can coordinate requirements, ordering, technical handover, internal IT, telephony and network specialists, and commissioning. Responsibilities are documented in advance.

Does DAXS remain involved after the order?

Yes, according to the agreed operating model. DAXS can handle technical triage, documentation and coordination while separating provider, network and device causes.

Next step

What connectivity does your business actually need?

We consider sites, reachability, contracts, resilience and existing IT together. The result is a solution that does not end when the order is placed.
